Advisor - Etenesh Bekele
Etenesh
participates in the preparation of country agricultural development
assistance policies, programs, projects, analytical studies, and guidelines.
She provides technical advice and services in the development and
management of agricultural programs and projects; liaises with other
development partners, governments, non-governmental organizations,
education and research institutes, and the private sector. Etenesh
also participates in donor coordination mechanisms as well as in GoE
agriculture and PASDEP annual reviews; and performs other duties related
to the conceptualization, design, approval, implementation, management,
monitoring and evaluation of CIDA’s investments in agriculture
growth.

Ahmed provides
strategic expertise on the rural livelihood and income diversification
issues such as income generation activities, on farm and off farm income,
credit and savings, marketing, cooperatives and other productivity issues
in the context of CIDA's FSAG programmes.

Sector Development Advisor
- Yared Fekade
Yared provides analysis
and advice to CIDA on the enabling environment for private sector
development in Ethiopia and growing role of the private sector
in general, and more particularly as they relate to the CIDA Ethiopia
Programme. He provides analysis on the situation of private sector
development in Ethiopia, including: the appropriateness of the
policy environment for private sector development; the private
sector's contribution to growth in the Ethiopian context; constraints
and challenges related to greater private sector development in
Ethiopia; the quality of public-private dialogue on private sector
issues; the quality and capacity of government initiatives to
regulate and/or stimulate private sector development; the quality
and status of other donor programmes in the area of private sector
development.

Governance
and Civil Society Advisor - Shimels Assefa
Shimels provides
professional support to the design/development, implementation,
monitoring and reporting of CIDA's bilateral democracy
and governance programme in Ethiopia. He undertakes research
and analysis in the areas of democracy, human rights,
peace and conflict; and involves in policy dialogue with
state (democratic) institutions. Shimels also provides
strategic support to CIDA in its engagement with Civil
Society Organizations.

Programme Advisor,
Private Sector Development - Jerusalem Berhanu
Jerusalem supports
the planning, design, implementation, monitoring and reporting
of new CIDA private sector development initiatives in Ethiopia.
She undertakes research on trends and events that will have
an impact on private sector development in Ethiopia, and assist
in identifying appropriate and reliable programme-level performance
indicators for CIDA’s private sector development initiatives
in Ethiopia.

Kidanemariam
provides strategic inputs to the design, planning, implementation, monitoring
of and reporting on CIDA FS/AG programming in the area of sustainable
environmental and natural resource and sustainable land management,
and related topics of relevance to improving environmental integration.
He also review, analyze and appraise appropriateness and technical quality
of proposed investments in the FS/AG thematic areas by CIDA (bilateral,
partnership or other channels), with a focus on sustainable environmental,
natural resource management and sustainable land management.

Tsedey
provides specialist services in the capacity building
field to CIDA's regional and multi-lateral programming,
and to CIDA's Partnership with Canadians programming.
She also provides specialist services in the capacity

CIDA Ethiopia Programme: the Food Security/Agricultural
Growth team, the Sustainable Economic Growth/Private
Sector Development team, and the Analyst team.

Rahel is
responsible for the management of contracts for staff, consultants,
private consulting firms and NGOs. She provides procurement guidance
related to the selection process of local consultant. She is also responsible
for making follow-ups on all contracts disbursements, requests Financial
Encumbrance from CIDA and complete 1281 forms related to mission disbursements.

Tsegaye
Rebecca is responsible to
assist the management with the daily administrative functions of the
ECCO with an emphasis on human resources management. She is responsible
for supporting the internal office systems and their effective and efficient
performance. She is also responsible to assist the preparation of ECCO
reports, workplans and other documents required to fulfill CIDA, ECCO
and GoE needs.

Manager – Aberra Gebreyohannes
Aberra
is responsible for coordinating all activities and task in ECCO
finance and administration section, Ensures that all documents and
reports are prepared in due time with high quality standard and
in fulfillment of CIDA Guidelines, rules and regulations. He is
also responsible for conciliating all disbursement made by ECCO/Mission
regarding the cooperation programme with CIDA-HQ reports.

Aster Aster
maintains and operates ECCO’s computerized accounting records
and processes all ECCO disbursement made by cheques or bank transfers.
She prepares invoices and payments and completes other activities related
to cost recovery. Aster also prepares ECCO financial reports and makes
follow-up on audit report.

Berhanu Getachew
Berhanu is
responsible for overall activities related to procurement and to the
safety and maintenance of all ECCO assets. He is also responsible to
provide support to ECCO Advisors and to CIDA Projects regarding monitoring
of administrative and accounting follow-up on CIDA projects in Ethiopia
monitored by ECCO advisors.

Records Operation Officer - Helina Ayele
Helina manages
ECCO's Petty Cash and follows up on activities and services retated
to customers invoicing/billing. She is also responsible for supporting
the mission management, VAT reinbursement and repot plus withholding
tax report. In addition, Helina handles ECCO's filing system.

Mekdem Zerfu
Mekdem is
responsible to welcome all ECCO customers and to provide logistics services
to ECCO customers, advisors and staff. She
receives incoming and outgoing communications (telephone-fax-mail) and
provides air travel, hotel and vehicles bookings.
